The Gold Coast
WE could tell you lots of things
about what we did on the Gold Coast. But the truth is we are too tired at the
moment. But we will try anyway.
There is one
reason to go to the Gold Coast. Theme Parks! And after you have sold your first
born to get a pass to get into them you want to get the most out of them. We
visited Wet’n’Wild, Seaworld, Movieworld and the Australian Outback Spectacular
as well. Were our four days full on? You bet, but that is life on the Gold Coast.
A few
highlights were the dolphins at Seaworld, something not to be missed. The stunt
drivers at Movieworld are great entertainment as well. The rides at both
Movieworld and Wet’n’Wild are great but I would have to say as a family we
prefer our rides with a bit of water involved.
Our last day
was our most memorable. It was the day we all stepped out of our comfort zone
big time. At Wet’n’Wild, The Tornado, Kamikaze and the Black Hole were all
conquered whilst Kurt loved the Jet Stream, the fastest Water slide in Australia.
The Outback Spectacular
was a great night out. It is a musical tribute to the role the horse has played
in Australia’s history. There was lots of great riding stunts as well as lots
of very informative covering topics including, Phar lap, the Light Horse Regiment,
the pastoral industry as well as others. It would be fair to say that that
there was a little bit of country in all of us that night, especially with the hats Mr RM Williams gave us for attending.
We stayed in
the Gold Coast Holiday park which in any other situation would have been great
entertainment with a lovely Pool, bouncy castle , BMX track and tennis court _ but with the Theme Park visits we barely used the park facilities. We
have had almost six weeks in Queensland and loved it. We have covered the south
of the state in a bit of a hurry but New South Wales is calling and we are
keen to get to Sydney. Maybe they might put on some fire works for us? Who knows.
